Jersey City MovNat Class

Mobility + Agility

TUE 7:15 pm (60 min)

Join this class to undo some of the damage of sitting all day. You'll enjoy it if you're looking to simply become a better mover, if you have aches and pains from sitting or just want to be in full control of your body. Expect to be barefoot, as in a yoga class. Warm up through mobility work that helps you feel more limber (including floor-based animal movements), then dive deeper to focus on the movement skill of the day (e.g. agility, stability, mobility, balance, power). You'll experience elements from MovNat, Stick Mobility, parkour, and the Fighting Monkey Practice. All movements can be made low impact. Here's a 30 sec clip of this class

Jersey City OCR Class - Wildly Fit.jpg

Obstacle Race / Spartan SGX Training

THU 7:30 am (60 min)

Whether you're training for an obstacle course race (OCR), or just want a fun full-body workout, you'll have a blast in this class taught by a certified Spartan SGX Coach. Expect circuit training with obstacle-style stations (ex: tire flips, sled pushes, rope pulls, box vaults, pull-ups, weighted carries, crawls and more). All exercises are 100% scalable to any level, so no experience is necessary. Here’s a 30 sec clip of this class.

Jersey City Parkour Class.jpg

Parkour Fit

THU 7:00 pm (60 min)
SAT 11:00 am (60 min)

Parkour is the discipline of overcoming obstacles by getting over, under or through them. Inspired by military and fire brigade training, but adapted for an urban setting. No experience is necessary and everything is scalable (most students start without having a full pull-up or push-up). We kick off every class with a warmup and joint prep, then complete a 12 minute full-body circuit, and spend the rest of the time on learning and refining specific skills (e.g. vaulting, balance, rolling, swinging, jumping). You can learn how to safely jump through a window, run up a wall, dodge a rat on the subway, and much more. In some classes you’ll get to combine all of your skills in an obstacle course.
